Genbu-Kai Pennsylvania Tournament

Dear Genbu-Kai/Rengo-Kai family members, and karateka friends.

I would like to extend this invitation to you to attend our 44th annual weekend of events. We are honored to have Genbu-Kai chairman and chief instructor, Shihan Thanh Nguyen with us this year from California, and Rengo-Kai President, Shihan Ken Nishiki from Tokyo, Japan. We are also honored to have several senior instructors from across the country join us in celebration and sharing their knowledge in several seminars Friday and Sunday.

Seminars will take place Friday evening at the Scottish Rite Cathedral located at 110 E. Lincoln Ave. Saturday morning, we will kick off our 44th annual Pennsylvania Genbu-Kai Championships with divisions in kata, weapon kata, batto kata, kumite, kobudo kumite, and team kata. We will be awarding the William B. Stoner Cup to the first-place winner of the men’s and women’s 18-35, black belt, kata divisions. The tournament will also be held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral located at 110 E. Lincoln Ave.

Saturday evening, we will celebrate our 44th annual awards banquet at Gallo’s Italian Villa located at 2420 Wilmington Road, with special guests Shihan Thanh Nguyen, Shihan Ken Nishiki, and Cobra Kai actor, William Christopher Ford.

Sunday morning will continue with more seminars and testing at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. After seminars and testing, all are welcome to gather at Mr. Pizza, located at 1204 E Washington St. to end the weekend.

We look forward to seeing all of you this year to help us celebrate.
